Great new idea for working on the go
Thanks to colleague Stacy Spaulding for the tip on PortableApps. The site offers a wide range of software applications (free or shareware) that can be loaded onto a USB flash drive. As the site notes:
Applications include some class favorites, such as Filezilla, the Firefox browser and Audacity. You might also want to check into Kompozer, a free HTML editor (like Dreamweaver) and GIMP (offers many of the features of PhotoShop).
Now you can carry your favorite computer programs along with all of your bookmarks, settings, email and more with you. Use them on any Windows computer. All without leaving any personal data behind.
