Getting to know summer 407/507 students
Hi,
I'd like to start the semester by asking each of you to reply to this post and give us a sense of your level of Web and design skills. Have you taken Digital Publishing? Do you have a Web site, blog or Twitter account? You don't need to say a lot, but just enough for us to get a sense of where we are all starting from. Thanks!

During Spring'09 I took Media Graphic and I learned how to use InDesign, Photoshop, and Dreamweaver. I am not really that good with Web design but I can say I have some experience with it. I have a Web Site but only the one for Media Graphic's final project, I have a blog (Wordpress) but not very active, and I do have Twitter.
Hi- My name is Marci Green and I am in the graduate level class this semester. I have very little skills in web and design. In undergrad (I graduated in 2003) I had a web design class; however, do not remember much from it and I am sure alot has changed. I have created a Blog on wordpress for a class last Spring semester. I also have a Twitter account but I am still learning just how to use it. I also work very closely with my web team at work but sometimes things they talk about goes right over my head. I have minimal graphic design skills and used to be a video editor on AVID. I am eager to learn and believe I pick up on things pretty quickly.
My name is Michelle Shry and I am also in the graduate level class this semester.
My experience in web design is related only to maintaining my company's intranet and Web site by using WYSIWYG editors.
Like Marci, I only created a blog in Wordpress for a graduate class. I have facebook and Linkedin in accounts, but no Twittering for me.
As for video experience, many years ago, I worked for FOX43 (York, PA) in the promotion department.

Hi- my name is Christine and I am a returning undergraduate student who has been out of the classroom since 2004. I have little experience with web design and any application, such as Dreamweaver that I have used, is a distant memory. So basically, I have a lot of catching up to do!
I have not taken Digital Publishing and I currently do not have a website. I have done some minimal HTML and web design work in the past. I have a twitter account that I am finally figuring out how to utilize. Overall my web design skills are pretty basic.
Hi, this is Alex Kidwell. I'm an undergrad student, and the only real experience I have with InDesign I got in your News Editing class. I have played around with Photoshop in the past, but it's been a while since I really knew what I was doing with that. I am unfamiliar with Dreamweaver. I have a Facebook and a Twitter account, I do not keep a blog although I have considered it a few times. For the most part, I'm gonna be trying to do a lot of learning as we go.
My name is Amber. During Spring semester of last year I took MCOM 257. We worked with Audacity, Soundslides, Movie Maker, Photoshop and Dreamweaver. In 258 we used the same programs. I also took COSC 109, where we used Adobe CS3
